CelloBop is a condensed history of the cello - past, present and future. Gideon plays excerpts from the cello repertoire along with explanations about the its construction and tone. Gideon's program includes some classical, blues, swing, jazz, rock and improvised music inspired by audience suggestions.
Sound Science explores the musical intersection of art and science. Gideon explains the math of music including beats, measures and phrases, and the acoustics of vibrations, pitch and timbre. Pkugging in to real-time digital effects, he shows how notes and sounds can be echoed, repeated, distorted and layered.
Music for Silent Film explores the many ways music can be used to enhance and help tell the stories silent films
