Trio Quartetto is the kind of Souped-Up-Supersonic-Suds-Free-Super-Group that crosses borders, boundaries, bridges, epochs, and eras - musically speaking - with liberal abandon. They play the heck out of captivating songs, with generous sprinklings of improv throughout.
The band features Gideon Freudmann making the cello sing it's siren song with brutal finesse, Ji Tanzer playing the drums like nobody's business, Ralph Huntley gliding his fingers over the ivories in graceful flurries and Courtney Von Drehle caressing the bellows as his accordion inhales and exhales its reedy melodies.
